ABOUT

Born and raised in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Cassie is a native of the area. She is the daughter of local small business owners, Daniel Sluder and Sandra Parham. Growing up in the environment of a small business Cassie knows firsthand the hard work and dedication that goes into operating a small business. Cassie believes her early exposure to her parents business has helped shape her career today.
Cassie attended Western Carolina University where she received her BSBA with a focus in accounting.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude in May of 2005. After acquiring her undergraduate degree Cassie attended Western Carolina’s Graduate School to get her Masters of Accountancy. She graduated in the fall of 2006. In September of 2008, after obtaining a year of experience in the field, she received her CPA certification (License #33893) in the State of North Carolina. Cassie continued her career, working with many different small business owners providing tax preparation, tax planning, payroll preparation, bookkeeping, sales tax reporting, tax authority correspondence, small business startup consulting  and general consulting services. She has extensive experience working with real estate professionals, investors, and owners in the medical and retail fields. In addition to working with small business owners Cassie has significant experience in working with individuals with both simple and complex tax returns.
